So what is forest bathing?
The term originated in Japan in the 1980s where it is known as shinrin-yoku, “shinrin” means forest and “yoku” means bath. Simply put, forest bathing is all about immersing oneself in the forest by taking in the atmosphere through the senses.

Other important infomation to note:
Forest bathing does not require a high level of fitness, we cover 3km’s at a slow and relaxed pace, with a few designated stops along the way.
At our final stop we will enjoy a cup of tea and for those who feel comfortable, there will be a time to share your experience with the group.
Sessions generally take around 3hours but it is best to plan for up to 4hours.
The public forest bathing sessions are open to anyone and everyone older than 16. Children under the age of 16 can be accommodated in private group bookings, see below.
